Three generations of the Vallosio family committed to quality
Manifatture Vallosio was founded on 18 July 1950 thanks to the intuition of its founder, Alfonso Vallosio, and to the long tradition of leather working in the Upper Orco Valley.
A family story
- 1950
The beginning
Building on the long tradition of the Upper Orco Valley, Alfonso Vallosio starts painting leather together with a few employees.
- 1960
Clelia and Giovanni
After the founder’s early death, the company is taken over by his wife Clelia and his eldest son Giovanni.
- 1967
Military items
They take over a manufacturing company and start producing military items (cap accessories). The second son, Roberto, also joins: the company works on two fronts, preparing leather that is then varnished and manufacturing military items.
- 2001-2008
The third generation
Giorgio and Federica, Roberto’s children, join the company.
- 2020
Seventy years
The company celebrates seventy years since its foundation: 1950-2020.
After the initial difficulties, the owners focus on improving product quality: their items are well received and offer highly appreciated technical qualities.
Today
Experience, training, raw materials
Over the years the company has always invested in staff training, reaching excellent levels of experience and professionalism supported by state-of-the-art machinery and techniques. It has invested heavily in sourcing high-quality raw materials and has optimised its production cycle to meet any kind of request.
In Italy the company regularly supplies visors, chinstraps, sweatbands and, when needed, any other accessory for civilian and military caps. It also has good partnerships in Africa and Europe: every sample sent and examined abroad has received excellent feedback for its quality and technical features.
